Find your inner wisdom & embrace who you’re meant to be.
Therapy for LGBTQ and trans folks who are ready to stop second-guessing and start living with clarity, compassion and purpose.
I want you to truly hear this:
Your body does not define your worth.
You remember a time when you didn’t constantly hate your body, but those days feel like a distant memory.
You’ve tried talk therapy, but nothing has brought real relief. You’re tired of going in circles and you just want to feel better.
You’ve come to the right place. I’m here to help.
I help queer and trans folks just like you: those who want to be kind to themselves and trust their own voice, and just need the support to get there.
Traditional eating disorder treatment takes an all-or-nothing approach to recovery, which can leave you feeling like you’re failing, even when you’re trying so hard. So many programs are designed for straight, cisgender people and don’t account for how food and body struggles can tie into gender and sexuality. I do things differently.
Together, we’ll look at how your eating disorder shows up in your life while also making room for the ways your identity shapes your experience. We’ll explore your eating disorder with compassion, and discover ways to express your true self while healing your relationship with food. Your body image may or may not be a factor in your gender identity, and I’ll help you sort that out.
It’s okay if you have mixed feelings about recovery—your fears, hopes, and needs can all exist side by side. We’ll take things one step at a time, in a way that actually works for you.
Hi I’m Christine (She/Her),
I believe that real change happens when we examine the impact that diet culture has on our well-being.
In our work together, we’ll unpack the societal messages that have been affecting how you feel in your body and how you move through the world. Each week we’ll explore your relationship with food and map out what you envision for your future.
Using holistic, embodied approaches such as Art Therapy and Parts Work, we’ll dig deep to uncover old wounds from your past that may be holding you back from living authentically.
Healing doesn’t stop with just gaining insight. We’ll get to the root of your issues in order to change how you see yourself and move through life.
You’ll feel more confident, have more fun in your relationships, and be able to make decisions with more clarity.
Compassionate and creative therapy with someone who truly gets it.
My training in eating disorders, art therapy, and trauma means I have the expertise you need and deserve when finding peace and acceptance towards your body.
But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who understands what it’s like to be a queer person struggling with an eating disorder, right?
I get it, I’ve been there too. Healing my own relationship with food didn’t happen until I understood how diet culture was affecting me. Intuitive eating and Health at Every Size were game changers for me.
As a queer cis woman, married to a trans woman, I have devoted my career to helping LGBTQ and transgender communities.
So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through.
Clients say I create a space where they feel safe enough to let their guard down.
As a Licensed Therapist with over 15 years in practice, I bring a warm and calming presence into the therapy room. I’ve been known to ask reflective questions with the occasional truth bomb. We’ll do deep, transformational work, while keeping it conversational. No therapy jargon here.
I’m not here to fix you and I’m not going to tell you what to do.
Instead of offering advice or quick fixes, I guide you to sit with the feelings that are coming up for you in session. What you experience in session becomes valuable information on how to move forward in your life.
I hold you accountable, ask the hard questions and don’t shy away from conversations around race, gender, fat phobia, and money. I believe our identities are crucial to the therapeutic relationship, and I always hold that into awareness.
The path to change can be messy, but that discomfort will help you break old patterns that are no longer serving you. It’s a process, and while it’s not always easy, healing is possible. I’m here to walk alongside you on this journey.
Therapy with me is…
01 Non-hierarchical
I work to reduce my role as a gatekeeper. Your identity, your pain, and your self-knowledge are valid. Every step in therapy will be collaborative with you in the driver’s seat.
02 weight inclusive
I practice from a Health at Every Size (HAES) and anti-diet perspective, meaning your worth is not tied to your weight, size, or how you eat. We’ll explore how weight stigma impacts your recovery journey.
03 Compassionate
A non-pathologizing approach that sees your struggles as a way to cope with deeper emotional wounds. This is a place to understand those patterns and begin to create space for new possibilities.
04 RElational
Our relationship is an important tool in your therapy journey. Our indentities and life experiences are always present in the room whether we talk about it or not. I use insight-oriented approaches and social justice frameworks to explore this.
